Nike Terminator Vintage – Georgetown

While shopping in LA in 2008, John Mayer was photographed wearing the Nike Terminator Vintage – "Georgetown Hoyas" Color Combo from the Nike “Be True to Your School Pack.”

Nike Blazer x Dave's Quality Meat

John Mayer spotted in the Nike Blazer x DQM at the Beacon Theatre concert on November 17th, 2009. Good luck getting your hands on a pair of these sneakers.

"Nike partnered with New York retailer Dave’s Quality Meat for a limited release of the Nike Blazer Hi. Originally released in 1973, the Nike Blazer Hi is Nike’s first Hoops shoe, becoming a pioneering basketball sneaker. “This style was one the [DQM] team of Chris Keeffe, Dave Ortiz and myself all agreed was iconic, as well as being a sneaker we’d not yet had the opportunity to work with Nike on,” said DQM’s Kyle Demers." Nike Blazer x DQM made in two colorways. Good luck getting your hands on a pair of these.

Visvim Skagway Slip-On

John Mayer was wearing the Visvim Skagway Slip-On Denim - (black version) while walking his dad out of a LA studio in late Summer 2009. These are officially named "Visvim Skagway Slip-On Denim." . Visvim released these in their Spring/Summer 2009 collection. There are six color variations and all have the worn look with velour accents.

Nike Air Max 95 - Running Man

John Mayer was spotted wearing these shoes sometime in 2008 at an NYC camera shop. These are part of Nike's "Running Man Pack," designed by Parra, who previously worked with Nike when he designed some Air Max 1’s. He is known for his trademark use of the pink / blue / purple shades which are also used in much of his artwork.

Nike Air Structure Triax 91

Nike Air Max Structure Triax 91. John Mayer spotted in these in LA, 2008. Can be purchased at Fight Club New York online for about $200.

Nike Air Max 95 - 360

The Air Max 95 - 360 One Time Only sail/medium brown-sheen features the air bubble from the Air Max 360 and adds some flavor the the upper’s colorway. This edition features red, pink, and brown in its design. John Mayer was spotted wearing these in 2008 in NYC.

(Pino, a member of the John Mayer Trio is wearing Asics).

Nike Air Max 89 - Stab

Oldie but goodie when John Mayer and TMZ had fun in NYC circa 2008 summer (excluding first picture). In both pictures, he is wearing Nike Air Max (1989) - Stab. Of the many color variations made in Stab, these are brown/white version. He's also back in the 80's with those Oakley frogskins.

Visvim Gabo Elk

These are constructed of Visvim’s famous elk leather and shoe construction similar to Kiefer in profile with select details on the rear including a collar and fringe. Recently spotted on Mayer in NYC, 9/2009.

Acronym - SS-J4 Softshell Jacket

I know these aren't sneakers, but because the jacket is everything a jacket should be, I'm dedicating a post to it.
John Mayer is wearing an Acronym SS-J4 Softshell Jacket. If you have $530 laying around, you can purchase this from a few select retailers. As it advertised, "Acquiring an Acronym softshell is not just buying a jacket. Like a friend that steps in when things get hectic, you´ll find yourself relying on it, trusting it, respecting it´s toughness, valuing it´s loyalty."
Read more about its specs and a liquid test performed on the jacket here.
Nice jacket, John. (The other guy wearing the jacket is a 'model' for Acronym)

Nike Air Max 90 - Infrared

Not the only time John Mayer has worn a Nike Air Max Infrared make. Recently spotted 9/09 in NYC. These are popular, yet expensive running shoes that can be bought online (and aren't sold out) for around $200 - $300.

Visvim - Logan Lattice - White

These Visvim sneakers were released this year and recently spotted on John Mayer in September 2009 coming out of Katsuya restaurant. One can purchase them for about $190.

Visvim Logan Lo - Elk

Many requests for this one. From the best I can tell, these are Visvim Logan Lo Elks. The color may be a variation, but the above picture is the closest I can find to the one's he is wearing while pumping gas.

Nike Air Terra Humara

These are some of the first shoes that interested me in the many to come of JM sneakers. When he was touring in 2002, I saw him at many concerts and many times with these shoes on, or some throwback Diesels. When he was wearing these Nike's, they looked like he had worn them for quite some time based on how worn out they were. These are some pretty old Nike's, but I think in the picture he is wearing them in, they're a re-released version. They are the Nike Air Terra Humara. If you have the Any Given Thursday DVD - you can spot JM in these. Either he really likes the shoes for comfort, nostalgia, or perhaps, both.

Nike Court Force Hi - Lux

Per fan request, the above pictures were submitted for a shoe identification. Spotted are the Nike Court Force High - Lux edition. Nike made these in two different colors - black and gray. These can be purchased at Amazon for $81.99.

Nike Court Force Hi Basic - Infrared Inspired - Air Max 90

Spotted many times in 2008 are the Nike Court Force Hi Basic - Grey/Orange. These are some of the more less rare shoes that JM has worn. In fact, one can purchase them for $78 at the Nike Online Store.
The Nike Court Force, circa 1987, is one of Nike's earlier basketball shoes. It has all the history of its more famous cousin, the Air Force One, but with 1/2 the hype. This retro style is continuously updated in low and high versions with a variety of colors and materials and seems to be a favorite for designers and customizers everywhere.

Visvim Kiefer Hi Patala

Worn with, of course, an Armani suit. These are from Visvim's Summer 2008 collection. A Keifer that is made solely by Visvim and exclusive of collaboration. This is the only picture I've seen JM wear these. Wonder what he does with these "rarely worn" shoes?

Nike Air Max 90 Shagmeister

These are a pair that are part of a Air Max '90 Quickstrike Shagmeister Pack. These shoes are specifically named Nike Air Max '90 Quickstrike ACG Shagmeister Reed. More details at kicksonfire.
Other known accessories:
Cell phone - Blackberry Bold
Sunglasses - Mosley Tribe Enforcer

Over the Stripes - Mastermind Collab

I first saw these during at Nokia, 12/09 "On His Own Concert." At first glance, these look like a basic pair of Converse. However, if you look closely at the details of these shoes, they're definitely not Converse and he's definitely been wearing them long before 12/09.

After some research, these are at the least made by "Over the Stripes." This a brand from Japan founded in 1996. I can't tell if they're a collaboration with any other designer. As you can tell JM's OTS are not the same OTS as posted in the above Mastermind Japan x OTS picture. They just look most similar to the "Mastermind Japan x OTS" sneakers described here. Yet, after a careful review of many pictures wherin JM has on these shoes, it's visible that his are white with either black/navy trim and a white "Over the Stripes" label on the back of the shoe. I've spotted this shoe in rotation quite frequently lately.
